Tutoring

Being able to participate in Tutoring is a privilege and students must be serious about their commitment to receive extra help with their studies. Many of our tutors are volunteering their time and they must be respected.

We would like to see more and more students sign up for tutoring as we have many volunteers eager to help out.

If you are interested in having your child participate in the tutoring program, please contact your child’s teacher or Mr. Vogt, for more information.

The rules during tutoring are the same as the rules during school. Although the atmosphere may be a bit more relaxed, students are expected to behave as they would in the classroom.

Tutoring is meant to benefit the student. Many of our tutors are volunteering their time, therefore, we expect the students who attend tutoring to be committed to receiving additional instruction and to be respectful to the tutors.

Cell Phones must be left in the office until students are finished with their tutoring session.

Students need to remain in their seats unless they are given permission by the Tutoring Coordinator.

Though we trust students will behave properly, we do reserve the right to revoke tutoring privileges.

Volunteers are at the heart of our tutoring program. To volunteer, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be a sophomore in high school or older
    • Able to assist 3rd through 8th grade students in the following subjects:

Math
Social Studies
Religion
Reading
Language Arts
Science
Spelling/Vocabulary

  • Have a warm and friendly personality
  • Willing to work with children
  • Able to work with students after school, Monday – Friday from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact the office for more information 513-961-1953.
