Dress Code
If the proper uniform is not worn, parents will be notified to bring an appropriate uniform to school. A student with an inappropriate uniform WILL NOT be permitted in the classroom. They may be subject to in-school suspension or other disciplinary actions.
Students, in a rare emergency situation, may be permitted to school for one day in non-uniform attire with a signed written note from a parent or guardian. Students coming to school out of uniform and without a note will have to call home. The parent or guardian will have to immediately bring the uniform clothing to school in order for the student to be admitted to class.

NOTE:
Anything worn that is not listed below as part of the uniform is considered
out-of-uniform and is not to be worn to school.

Navy Blue uniform jumper (grades K-4) or
Nave Blue skirt
(grades 5-8) with WHITE uniform blouse with a collar
Skirts must be a decent length as determined by
the school authorities.
NO SKORTS.
NOTE: We are no longer enforcing the red plaid
uniform jumper or skirt. We will be changing to NAVY BLUE jumpers and
skirts. If your child has a red plaid jumper or skirt, she may
continue to wear it until she outgrows it and then she may start wearing
navy blue skirts or jumpers.
Navy blue slacks,
dress shorts or dress capris and WHITE or LIGHT BLUE Blouse with a
collar.
NO DENIM OF ANY
KIND, NO SKORTS. Belts must be
worn with ALL slacks, dress shorts and dress capris.
Socks or tights may be navy blue, red or white
Solid color navy blue, red or white cardigan or
pullover sweaters with NO insignia, monograms or trims.
No hooded sweatshirts may be worn in the
classroom.
NO printed hoodies, track suit jackets or denim jackets
Boys:
Navy blue slacks, corduroy, cotton or polyester
are acceptable
(Denim pants are not acceptable)
Light blue or white cotton shirt with collar
(Navy
blue shirts are not part of the uniform)

Dress Requirements for ALL STUDENTS grades K through 8
BELTS:
A belt MUST
be worn by ALL students at ALL times with uniform slacks, dress shorts or dress
capris.
SWEATSHIRTS:
A plain red, white, navy blue or DeSales sweatshirt may be worn in school.
The sweatshirt MUST
be worn WITH
the uniform blouse, shirt or white turtleneck. The sweatshirt worn
during the day CANNOT have a hood.
TURTLENECKS:
A solid blue, red or white turtlenecks are
permitted under a uniform shirt ONLY.
DRESS SHORTS: Dark navy blue shorts with belt loops and pockets. These are different from gym shorts. They are usually shorter, have a cuff or have belt loops. Gym shorts are not acceptable unless it is a gym day. Uniform shorts MUST be worn WITH uniform blouse or shirt. Skorts are NOT permitted. Uniform shorts may be worn at parent's discretion anytime during the school year
KNIT POLO SHIRTS: White or light blue polo shirt (short or long sleeve) may be worn with the dress shorts or navy blue dress slacks, but NOT with the girl's navy blue skirt or jumper.
SHOES: Gym shoes may be worn. Shoes MUST cover toes and heels completely. Flip-flops, open-toed shoes, back-out shoes and Heelies are not permitted for safety reasons.
BOOTS/SHOES: Boots and Shoes MUST be worn under the student's pants or gym sweatpants

On Gym days, ALL STUDENTS MUST report to school in gym uniform and wear gym uniform all day. Gym uniforms can be purchased at the school office Mon.-Fri. 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Hair, Jewelry, Makeup and Fingernails
Hair coloring, glitter, afros, etc. are not acceptable.
Small earrings or studs permitted in ear lobes
ONLY.
NO MAKEUP (lip gloss included) may be worn at school.
NO ARTIFICIAL OR SCULPTURED NAILS OR NAIL DESIGNS ARE PERMITTED.
No inappropriate designs in male haircuts and long hair for males must be in braids.
Clothing worn to school is to be CLEAN and NEAT, must follow the following guidelines:
Hats, head coverings, bandanas, sweatbands and sunglasses
cannot be worn INSIDE
the building. Girls' headbands must be worn on top of the head - not
on the forehead
Coats are not to be worn in the classroom unless the
teacher gives permission. If a student has an issue with the temperature
in the classroom, he/she may wear sweaters, cardigans and
sweatshirts in the appropriate school colors (Red, Blue and White).
Shirts and blouses should be buttoned to cover cleavage.
Uniform pants, shorts, capris and skirts are to be worn at the appropriate level
on the waist. They must be able to stay above the waist and should not drag
on the floor and should
not
allow any portion of the buttocks or undergarments to be exposed when the
student sits, stands, raises a hand or bends over.
No skin should be visible between a student's top and
bottom garment when the child sits, stands, raises a hand or bends over.
Torn or tattered clothing is not to be worn.
No jewelry, clothing or other items may have obscene,
violent, gang, tobacco, drug, alcohol related or belittling messages or images.
No more than one bracelet or ring may be worn
at one time. No fake fingernails.
Girls' purses must be locked in lockers during the day.
No gold or metal teeth may be worn to school.
Shirts
MUST be tucked into trousers/pants/skirts/shorts
even when allowed to be out of uniform.
No Heelies or similar shoes (shoe with heels) may be worn at any time,
anywhere in the school building during school hours or school functions.
