List of needed items for 6th,
7th and 8th grades:
Good News Bible with Deutrocanonicals and Apocrypha –this translation is required for class and sells for $17 at the school.
All students MUST HAVE their own personal Bible (or have ordered it) by 8-29-08 .
Filler Paper (lots—we get really busy) –get the wider lines—the narrow lines make the work cramped and difficult to read
3 one subject spirals will be needed—so don’t bring extra spirals and expect to tear out and hand in work on paper with “rubbled” edge , 2 Social Studies and 1 Science.
Pens—blue and black ink only for assignments (get lots—the multi-packets provide savings!) All assignments are to be written in pen—except puzzles, crosswords, diagrams, and math—otherwise expect to use pen!!! If you make lots of mistakes—get erasable pens!!)
Red Pen or pencil—at least 2
Pencils—multi-pack is useful—with eraser
Colored pencils—box of 8 is sufficient.
Highlighters—get a multi pack with different colors—at least 4
Markers—both wide and narrow points
NO CRAYONS
Pocket Folders—we would like to get the expandable multi-pocket (8) plastic folders—much more durable, and keep things all in one place so that students can become more organized and not lose things (especially when changing classes).
Index Cards (3 x 5) used for social studies
Scissors
Plan Book—must be the one provided by the school—1st one free, replacement $5
Pencil bag—or box—something to keep your stuff from rolling around
Post-it Flags—for marking books, spirals and stenos,
etc.
Backpack—one that fits into cubby—wheeled ones are useless—have to be carried up steps –don’t fit in the cubicle
Bring 2 large sized boxes of tissues(at least 200
count) these will be shared—and the
school will no longer be able to provide them
